“Over the past several weeks, we have shared information regarding my impending retirement and the search for a new Intalere president and CEO. Today, we are pleased to announce the selection of global supply chain and logistics management expert Julius Heil as president and CEO, to lead the continuing transformation of the organization as a model professional supply chain company. He will officially join the company on May 23, 2016. I will remain as a special advisor to Julius through July 1, 2016, when I officially retire to serve a mission for my church in Mexico.
Julius is a proven executive in strategically leading all aspects of a multibillion dollar global corporation. Under his leadership, the Intalere organization will continue to help members transform their operations and create excellence, ultimately allowing them to provide the highest level of quality care. What is particularly impressive is his record of applying solid business acumen to achieve hundreds of millions of dollars in cost savings through technological upgrades, coaching and mentoring, business process restructuring and creating a culture that is built upon trust to deliver innovation.
Julius brings over 30 years of experience to Intalere. Over the past three years, Heil has served as an independent consultant, advising global organizations in areas including digital technology, analytics, automation, operations and supply chain strategy, and global strategic sourcing/procurement. Prior to becoming a full-time independent consultant, Julius was with Preferred Freezer Services as executive vice president, Operations and Supply Chain. His leadership of the information technology group ensured strategic business systems enabling an aggressive global growth plan.
He has held positions of increasing responsibility in global supply chain operations management, solutions development and implementation, multi-modal transportation systems, and global sourcing and procurement strategy with 3PL companies, such as CHEP, TransMontaigne, GeoLogistics, Burnham and UPS, in support of Fortune 500 clients.
He is a frequent speaker on relevant supply chain topics at industry events, roundtables and universities worldwide and holds nine U.S. patents related to innovation in supply chain.
Julius earned a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Logistics from The Ohio State University, and is a member of numerous professional organizations.
He is excited for this opportunity to share his experience and knowledge to help Intalere members bring transformational change to their supply chain operations.
